Description
Objective IS5  The system shall not fail due to over pressurization of gas enclosures.
Requirement IS5 IS5.1 Pressure relief valves prevent the internal pressure of enclosures from exceeding (1 psi) above the protective gas supplies’ maximum operating pressure.
Objective IS5  Protective gas enclosures/supplies shall not fail when subjected to the maximum operating pressure.
Requirement IS5 IS5.2 The system can operate at 1.5 times the maximum operating pressure for at least 10 seconds. (Routine test)
Objective IS5  Piping shall distribute compressed air to end user devices.
Requirement IS5 IS5.3 Piping will abide by standard dimensions.
Objective IS5  Electrical components mounted internally, and electrical components mounted through the enclosure shall be protected so that likely failure or abuse will not expose a hot surface or an ignition-capable arc to the external flammable atmosphere.
Objective IS11  The inherent flow characteristics of a control valve shall perform as specified by the manufacture’s standards.
Requirement IS11 IS11.1 When performing a flow test of a control valve, the flow coefficient will not deviate by more than +-10 {1/Φ]^0.2 percent from the manufacturer-stated inherit flow characteristics.
