The figure above encompasses the overall system design of the mechanical and electronic layout, the electric distribution, and where data is being pulled from. The red arrow depicts the electrical flow and what components of the system are being powered, while the yellow arrows display the communication line of the electronic hardware of the system network.
Technical Objectives and Requirements
Subsystems | Top Level Objectives | Top Level Requirement |
Mechanical | Compressed air shall be supplied at a constant pressure and flow as specified by individual end-user devices and system demand. | MR2,MR3 |
Electronics | The electronic devices shall use industry standard instruments to measure fluid characteristics such as flow and pressure. | IS41.4 |
Electrical | The electrical hardware shall be designed to meet maximum power consumption quantities and have the capability to step down voltages/currents as needed by various electronic devices. | IS8.15 |
Communications | The comms and data acquisition shall be designed to interpret sensor data from industrial instruments in real time, execute basic troubleshooting techniques (ie. eliminating causes), and contain multiple contingency plans for various emergencies. | IS7.13 |
