Why does our program need sponsors?
In order to build a competitive racecar, Rainbow Warrior Racing must purchase raw materials, components, and equipment. Furthermore, the team must transport the vehicle and members across the Pacific to simply compete. Transporting our vehicle nearly doubles the amount of money necessary for our success. Because of this, money is a scarce and crucial resource for our team.
Our success is heavily dependent upon the sponsorship from businesses and companies. In the past, monetary, and in-kind contributions have accounted for a large percentage of our team’s budget. Without these generous contributions, our program would cease to exist, and we would not be able to represent the state of Hawai’i in the Formula SAE competition.
