Pearl Habor Naval Shipyard (PHNSY) Internship program

The ME department launched the Pearl Habor Naval Shipyard (PHNSY) Internship program in spring 2019. The program enriches the classroom education with real-world engineering experience, and has been well received by the students, PHNSY, and UH Manoa. The program coordinator, Dr. Marvin Young, is the Emeritus Vice President of Aerojet Rocketdyne, a leading US aerospace company, and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the US Air Force. Dr. Young is an ME alumnus.
